Ford's Faves

Every Friday, in-house music aficionado and buyer Tim Ford graces us with his musings on the best releases of the week. Can’t get enough? He’s also somehow still allowed to run our Instagram — check it.

Faves for May 4, 2018:

Liz Phair

Exile in Guyville (25th Anniversary)

I was quite young when this first came out and I it was the first time I heard a woman saying “womanly” things.

It scared me.

It scared me so good.

Danish kids yelling at me?  Yes please.

Post Animal

When I Think of You in a Castle

There’s going to be a lot of talk about this band that has nothing to do with the music (Google It), but these guys are the goods.

Psych. But if you like McCartney more than Lennon.

A little noodley but super fun.

To think people will focus on other things other than the music…. is a…..stranger thing.

Wintersleep // Welcome to the Night // Untitled (Reissues)

I’ll admit, sometimes my Canadian pride gets in the way of making the best music choices (looking at you LEN), but there are a few bands these days that make you proud of the Canadian music scene.

It also doesn’t help that my assistant listens to them all day long and doesn’t shut up about how much she loves them.
