Ford's Faves

Every Friday, in-house music aficionado and buyer Tim Ford graces us with his musings on the best releases of the week. Can’t get enough? He’s also somehow still allowed to run our Instagram — check it.

Faves for June 29, 2018:

Eric’s Trip

Forever Again / Purple Blue

This New Brunswick band is my 12th favorite band of all time.

Classic post-grunge lo-fi indie rock from the 90’s featuring Julie Doiron and Rick White.

Both Directions at Once: The Lost Album

This is an album that no one knew existed.  It was literally “found”.

When I was given the sell sheet for this it was proclaimed as if “they found a new vault in the pyramids” which I thought might be a little bit of a stretch, but nope.

This is nuts.

I would say it’s more like randomly finding a Beatles album and McCartney being like “oh yeah, I remember that! We were REALLY high. Sorry, I forgot.”

Florence + the Machine

High as Hope

I like her.

She reminds me of a sexy singing witch that uses her voice to give the power of lust and enlightenment to the masses.
