THE KINKS: ARE THE VILLAGE GREEN PRESERVATION SOCIETY (50th ANNIVERSARY)

The Kinks

Are the Village Green Preservation Society

I was once asked to write a piece for a magazine stating an album that changed the sound of pop music but never got any of the recognition.

This was the one I chose.

Without this album, we wouldn’t have britpop.  The Who would sound completely different.

Frig, even The Beatles ripped them off.  This should be the album people look back on in the same breath as Sgt. Peppers or Exile on Main St.
