Ford's Faves

Every Friday, in-house music aficionado and buyer Tim Ford graces us with his musings on the best releases of the week. Can’t get enough? He’s also somehow still allowed to run our Instagram — check it.

Faves for April 13, 2018:

DR. DOG: CRITICAL EQUATION

Dr. Dog

Critical Equation

Sure they sound like The Beatles and The Flaming Lips and The Band and My Morning Jacket and The Shins and Wilco, but sometimes you just want a nice cheese pizza.

Nothing crazy.

Just a cheese pizza and Seinfeld reruns.

Neil Young

Roxy: Tonight’s the Night Live

It seems odd that in order to get over a friend’s overdose, Neil Young and friends locked themselves in a studio and did drugs and wrote an album about drugs.

But it’s one of my favourite albums ever, so what the heck do I know.

Another ironic thing is that this live album sounds better than the O.G. album.

NEIL YOUNG: ROXY: TONIGHT'S THE NIGHT LIVE
JANELLE MONAE: DIRTY COMPUTER

Janelle Monae

Dirty Computer

No one will replace Prince. But I sure do like her trying.
