Ever wanted to know more about the guy who purchases our visual product? We aren’t going to tell you much about our buyer Steve Cole, we’d rather you just trust his opinion based on this list. Sound OK?

We present to you – Cole’s Notes, Best of 2018! (in no particular order)

Cole’s Notest — Best of 2018

It

So scary. So tense. Why would anyone ever walk into a sewer?

Blade Runner 2049

I thought this was fantastic.

Fun fact: I cannot watch the original Blade Runner without falling alseep.

Lady and the Tramp

One of my favourite movies of all time. So happy they did another restoration.

Thor Ragnarok

Best. Thor. Ever.

Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle

The Rock + Kevin Hart = Comedy Gold.

And Jack Black plays a perfect high school-aged girl.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi

There has never been a Star Wars movie as polarizing as this one. So many fans hate it. I think it could be the perfect second film in a new trilogy.

Hostiles

This Western, set near the end of the 19th Century, looks and feels like all previous classic Westerns made by the masters such as John Ford. In time, this will be considered a classic as well.

Black Panther

Amazing costumes. Amazing soundtrack. Looking back it is hard to believe many didn’t think this would be the hit it became.

Early Man

This family film was overlooked. But if you are a Wallace And Gromit fan, this should be on your list of films to see.

A Quiet Place

Jim from “The Office” made this? Really? Wow. I wonder what other surprises he has up his sleeve…

Isle of Dogs

Oh, Wes Anderson. What else can you say?

In the Mouth of Madness (Collector’s Edition)

Watch Sam Neill slowly go insane over the course of 95 minutes in this John Carpenter cult classic.

Avengers Infinity War

Who would have guessed the directing team behind Arrested Development and Happy Endings would bring the beginning of the end of Marvel Universe to the screen?

Army of Darkness (Limited Edition)

I have bought and will continue to buy every version of this as it is released. Groovy!

Deadpool 2

Who would have guessed the directing team behind Arrested Development and Happy Endings would bring the beginning of the end of Marvel Universe to the screen?

Deep Rising (Anniversary Edition)

Treat Williams, Action Star. Yes please!

Upgrade

Cool cinematography in this sci-fi action flick. It is amazing what you can do when you connect your steady cam to your cell phone via bluetooth.

Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom

…except Blue is a girl.

Platoon (Limited Edition)

THE Vietnam War movie. A must have for any collection.

Solo: A Star Wars Story

Sort of like a western in the Star Wars Universe. I like it the more I watch it.

Sicario: Day of the Soldado

Will they make a third movie to let us know what happened to Emily Blunt’s character? I hope so!

Leave No Trace

I have decided I will watch anything Ben Foster is in. You should, too.

Ant-Man & The Wasp

This is the perfect palate cleanser to Avengers Infinity War. Paul Rudd IS a super hero.

The Big Lebowski (4K)

I’m the Dude. So that’s what you call me. You know, that or, uh, His Dudeness, or uh, Duder, or El Duderino if you’re not into the whole brevity thing.

2001: A Space Odyssey (4K)

I am not a huge fan of this movie but all of the extras make this a must own.

The Thing (Limited Edition)

I will also buy every version of this movie as it comes out. I may have a problem.

Candyman (Collector’s Edition)

Can you say his name five times? Not while watching this collector’s edition you can’t!

Mission Impossible: Fallout

Tom Cruise as Ethan Hunt is amazing. And now you can watch him break his leg and still run across a rooftop!

Westworld: Season 2

What is happening when? I have to watch this again to sort out the timelines.

Starman (Collector’s Edition)

Can you say his name five times? Not while watching this collector’s edition you can’t!
